"Tiburon Subsea Services" DBA of Research Vessel Tiburon, Inc.
The RV Tiburon is a sixty-five foot United States Coast Guard certified passenger vessel designed for research and exploration. She is equipped with safety gear, electronic equipment, and air/nitrox compressors. Designed to sleep 12 guests and 4 crew in air-conditioned comfort, each cabin is equipped with TV/DVD, washer, dryer and tempur-pedic mattress pads.
The interior is done in cherrywood doors and trim, teak tables and corion countertops. The commercial galley is has brand new counter style victory stainless refrigerator, industrial coffee and hot water system and stainless double oven. All eight staterooms and crew quarter are equipped with flat screen Direct TV systems, DVD, 110 power outlets and personal sinks. There are two shared heads and shower on the lower level. The upper crew quarters is plumbed for head and shower if one wants to remodel.
The SOLAS rated life raft is complimented by a 2" industrial emergency gas powered water pump, expedition first aid supplies, defibrillator and oxygen rescue equipment.
The RV Tiburon can accommodate up to 14 to 18 passengers including crew for overnight charters. A US Coast Guard inspected vessel with 200-mile route extension the RV Tiburon is fully equipped for offshore work.
RV Tiburon notable expedition include Discovery of Sherwood Forest in Dry Tortugas, Pulley Ridge expedition, Numerous NOAA, RASMS, MOTE shark projects and Wes Skiles National Geographic Cave Expedition. His last major project filmed in 2009.
