On August 10th and 11th 2002 we were witness to a sight that few ever see. A carcass of a 40 foot sperm whale was floating 15 miles offshore Key West. Feeding on the animal were many tiger sharks. at least 12, maybe more. We have posted some of the images. Hope you like. Also notice one photo shows the kids Play-Doh project about the day. |

The sharks set up a perimeter about 200 feet out from the whale in order to keep out any other intruders then one or two sharks at a time would go in and feast. The tiger shark is second only to the great white in terms of size.
